It’s our current obsession/all time favourite hue, that appears to be a Tone that not so many are familiar with, outside of describing a type of wood. As you can imagine, to us that’s shocking, and we are here to immediately rectify the problem.
So what is Mahogany? The best way to describe Mahogany is a reddish, brown shade. It’s deep, its dark, its oh so delicious. But unlike other shades of a similar description, Mahogany hues have cool and warm undertones. That makes it a Colour we can all enjoy.
Mahogany is diverse and you’ll find it within Colour’s that have .5 in their Colour number, e.g. 5.53 Chocolate Brown, 6.5 Pure Plum, or Chocolates, Plums and some Red Hair Colours. It’s a Colour that is full of pigment and dimension.
Imagine trading in your dull brown, for a warm, indulgent Chocolate to brighten up even the dullest Winters day. That's a Mahogany. Or wanting a Colour with a little more intensity and upping the ante by choosing a vibrant Red. That is also a Mahogany. It is more than just a hue. It's a volume creating, energy making Tone, that will take your Colour to the next level.
