Your Winter Colour Sorted

This season we have opted for something a bit different, spending some time with our Red Range, particularly our Plums.

Now that it’s getting cooler, we are making our way down the Colour ladder diving full heartedly into our darker variety of shades. Traditionally we head straight for our Brunettes. This season we have opted for something a bit different, instead spending some time with our Red Range, particularly our Plums.
Plums are such an easy choice. They add warmth to your Hair without it being a Copper or Gold Tone and give you rich, deep reflects. If you like the thought of being Plum, but are a bit overwhelmed by their nature, we have created a guide to find the Plum that is perfect for you.

There are subtle ways to add Red hues to your Colour. 5.52 Deep Chocolate Plum has a mix of mid Brown Chocolate Tones and Plum highlights, that give you a rich Burgundy Colour. It is the subtle highlights that give you a hint of Plum, without being an over powering Colour.

If you are looking for a little more intensity, 5.56 Intense Plum Red is rich like a berry Red, yet Dark due its Light Brown base. This depth mixed with Plum reflects creates a seriously exciting and bold Colour.

If you want the Plum reflects, but prefer to “water down” the Colour so it’s not too intense, try mixing a 6.5 Pure Plum with a Natural Colour to tone down the vibrancy.
For example, mixing a 6.5 with a 3 Dark Brown or 5 Light Brown gives your Colour some depth, while still having some Plum vibrancy.
Or mixing 6.5 with a lighter Natural like a 7 Medium Blonde or 8 Light Blonde, creates a lighter Colour Plum with some bright Plum hues.
