We should probably start by saying, this isn’t a post about Hair so oily you could fry an egg on it. A little oil is good for your Hair and not shampooing every day has significant benefits, particularly when you want to maintain your Colour’s vibrancy. This is a post about the day after Hair. It can be a struggle for us to last longer than 2 or 3 days between washes before we are running for the shampoo and shower. So to keep you, well let’s be honest probably us, from breaking, here are some hairstyles to refer to to cope with your unwashed Hair.

Sleek Pony Tails

Use your current Hair situation to your advantage. Second day Hair is a great match for a sleek ponytail. Straighten your Hair, for full effect, and using a fine comb or soft bristol brush, pull back into your choice of low or high glossy pony. Keep it simple and classic.

Strong Parts

Getting that prominent part is much easier with next day Hair, as the part holds and smooths down well. Choose a middle or side part and considering using some heat and serum through the lengths and ends of your Hair, for a consistent look.

Pulled back Buns

What is more polished and classic than a bun? So versatile, you can wear it high, low, parted and it makes any outfit look chic. Keep all your Hair pulled back, as leaving any wispy strands will only show any grease.

Braids

A little oil is a braids best friend. It gives you better grip and traction to collect pieces to weave into the braid, much easier than freshly washed or dried Hair. By pulling your Hair off the front of your face, you help disguise the oil.

Get Messy

If the oil is too much, reach for your dry shampoo. Dry shampoo is fantastic to create Volume in your Hair and gives you so much inspiration for multiple messy Hairstyles like a messy bun or low pony tail or ultimately just keep it out. For the messy look, apply dry shampoo to your roots and around your face, lightly using it through the rest of your Hair. Throw your Hair up and down a few times, to breathe some life into it. Get messy.
